Charlotte Newkirk, a Junior here at Lucy Beckham High School, is a multi-sport athlete between volleyball and basketball. Newkirk is 16 years old with a fun, spunky personality. She enjoys socializing with her teammates and friends. She maintains good grades by using any time she has in school to get it done, or right after practices. Her mental health is one of the most important things to her success she says. She has played Varsity volleyball for two years, as well as basketball. Newkirk keeps good mental health by making sure she gets good sleep and eats lots of nutritious foods. Also, she is a starting player for Varsity basketball as well as a forward or post. This year she received a unique award for her fun attitude and determination on the court in volleyball. Her teammates say she is the most dedicated, fun, and cheerful player to have on the team. Her parents are her biggest supporters and have guided her through both sports, cheering her along the way.
