Buddy System

Breea Moultrie

As women, we often enjoy spending time alone, whether it’s a visit to Ulta or Target, a mani/pedi, or a short walk. However, it’s becoming increasingly dangerous to be alone these days. Recent studies have shown that a lone female is more likely to be attacked by someone passing by. As a result, women are rarely seen alone nowadays, and the buddy system is being used more frequently. The buddy system has been around for years, but it’s an effective way to reduce crime rates against women. When traveling in groups, an aggressor is less likely to attempt an attack due to the number of witnesses, strength, and overall power of the Buddy System Group. So, next time you consider going out alone, try bringing a friend or two along with you. Remember, the more, the merrier!
