Starbucks Craze

Emma Dickens

Virginia Cuttino, a student here at Beckham, loves to grab Starbucks on the way to CAS. Imagine how many other people followed through with this same protocol. If you did not already know, Starbucks sells 8,070,428 items per day, roughly. Majority of these items are their drinks, such as the classic iced coffee. Given this estimate on sales, it is safe to assume that Starbucks makes a lot of money. In fact, they make, on average, around $61.3 million per day. That’s a lot of coffee!

Starbucks at Beckham

Virginia Cuttino, a junior here at Beckham, says she gets starbucks, “three times per week…”.  Before attending CAS, she claims she buys their grande Iced Chai Tea Latte. Natalie Burhcfield also loves her morning coffee. Natalie says it’s her, “…. Favorite part of the day.” Her favorite drink right now is their iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte.

“It’s a great way to start the day!”- Virginia Cuttino

How did Starbucks gain fame?

Starbucks is known for providing great customer experience. This only increased their popularity. Not only are they great at providing customer service, but they also focus on bettering their technology for expansion, and growth. The kick-off of it all was when Starbucks offered free premium coffee beans, which made peoplevalue them even more!

Cool facts!

The owners flipped through old marine books, and were entranced by a siren. Eventually, they thought it best to create a Siren (a.k.a Mermaid) as their logo. The name is a different story. “Starbuck,” is the protagonist of Herman Melville’s book, “Moby Dick.” A love for marine books and a unique name spurred the official name of Starbucks.
