Terrifier 2 Lives up to the Hype

The sequel to the movie Terrifer where a clown named Art brutally kills people recently came out in Theaters on October 6th, 2022,  just in time for spooky season. This new movie took a major turn into the gruesome and gory world. People in theaters are passing out, vomiting, and even ambulances are being called to the theater.  I have watched the first movie multiple times and loved it for a scary movie. I went to see the second movie this past weekend and might I say it was much more gory and brutal than the first movie. Some parts made me gag in the theater and I had to cover my eyes multiple times. Another junior at Lucy Beckham went to see it and she said “I feel like it was the most gruesome movie to ever be made, from start to finish nothing was good.”

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the director Damien Leone said he considers it “sort of a badge of honor to have a couple walk outs” but he did not want people fainting and getting hurt in the theater.  One twitter user wrote after watching the movie  “The guy behind me passed out cold n crashed into my chair, another guy left because he didn’t feel good, I overheard him say and walking out the theater door I heard a guy puking hard and loud in the bathroom.” A picture was shared all over social media of a man being taken care of by paramedics in the theater after watching Terrifer 2.
